Recovery in Motion

Reclaiming mental health together

WRAP®  –  WELLNESS RECOVERY ACTION PLAN

This is a structured plan developed by YOU that helps you work through mental health challenges or life issues. It is adaptable to any situation. Through careful observation and from ideas in the workbook and from others in the workshops, you identify activities and habits, Wellness Tools, to help yourself feel better when you are not feeling well. You also develop a written Daily Maintenance Plan to help you to stay well and enjoy your life. You learn your personal triggers and warning signs and what to do about them.

The workshops are about two hours each week for about ten weeks. Facilitators are peers (with personal experience with mental illness and/or substance abuse) who are sufficiently recovered and who have had a 40-hour training to become certified to facilitate these workshops. Attendance and materials are free to participants. Provided by RIM.

RIM – RECOVERY IN MOTION

Recovery in Motion is a local nonprofit organization that is entirely run by and for adults with mental health and/or substance use challenges who choose to share in their mutual recovery and growth. No formal diagnosis is needed to participate and all activities are free. They offer support groups, social and recreational activities, wellness education, mindfulness and meditation sessions.

Currently this is the primary source for WRAP workshop series (see above). Generally, they provide one series each quarter during the year. Contact them to get on a waiting list for the next workshop series and someone will get back to you. Or watch the RIM website for announcements of when the next series is scheduled.
